An illegal gel blaster and various drugs were allegedly uncovered during an early morning raid at a home in Tasmania’s north yesterday.
Dozens of police units from the Drugs and Firearms Unit and the Western Criminal Investigation Branch executed a search warrant at the Devonport home around 5am on Friday.
Police allege that several items were seized during the search, including stolen tools, an illegal M4 gel blaster and Methylamphetamine and PCP (Phencyclidine).
A 39-year-old man with connections to the Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang has been charged with drug and firearm offences, as well as unlawful possession and driving without a licence.
A 30-year-old Devonport woman is also facing charges of possessing a controlled drug, using a controlled drug and possessing a prohibited firearm.
The man is scheduled to appear at the Devonport Magistrates Court today, while the woman’s court appearance is set for early April.
