Emergency services are at the scene of a truck rollover on the Bass Highway in Tasmania’s north-west.
The semi-trailer rolled at Don in Devonport, near Don Hill, on Friday afternoon. Tasmania Police issued an alert just after 12:30pm.
“The driver of the truck has been transported to the Launceston General Hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries,” police said.
A motorist who passed the scene posted on social media that the truck had rolled on a corner near a bridge at the bottom of Don Hill.
They said an ambulance was arriving as she drove past and members of the public were directing traffic before police arrived.
The motorist said the truck seemed to be upside down over a fence in a bank, with what looked like a construction vehicle on the back.
Police have not said what caused the crash.
“Motorists are advised that diversions are in place along Waverley Road and Cutts Road,” police said.
“Please avoid the area and obey the directions of emergency services at the scene.”
