Bass Highway closed after serious crash near Turners Beach leaves person injured

A person has reportedly sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash on the Bass Highway near Turners Beach in Tasmania’s north-west.

Tasmania Police, just before 10am on Wednesday, said officers remain at the scene near the intersection of the highway and Clayton Road East.

“The Bass Highway is closed at the crash site and motorists are being diverted along Westella Drive,” police said.

“Heavy vehicles including trucks are advised to anticipate delays until they are able to travel along Bass Highway.”
