A bulldog has been put down after it attacked an adult in Devonport earlier this month.
The Devonport City Council confirmed the attack at a recent council meeting, saying it happened at a private residence in the city.
The dog, which was off-leash at the time, left the victim with bite marks and scratches around their ankles.
Following the incident the dog was declared as “dangerous” and voluntarily relinquished for euthanasia.
Questions were also asked at the meeting over the investigation into the unrelated deaths of three alpacas and a goat at Stony Rise.
Council executive manager Kylie Lunson said that they have, so far, been unable to identify the animal or animals responsible for the lethal attacks.
