A large jet of water is being sent into the air next to a busy Hobart intersection after a car crashed into the New Town Rivulet.
The incident at the Brooker Highway intersection with Risdon Road occurred just before 1pm on Thursday.
According to reports, a white St John Tasmania branded Toyota RAV4 veered off the road, crashed through a fence and came to rest in the Rivulet.
Police said two un-injured people were taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital for monitoring.
Risdon Road remains closed from the Brooker Highway and is expected to be shut for at least an hour.
“We’re relieved to say no one was seriously injured,” a St John Tasmania spokesperson said.
“Our heartfelt thanks to the first responders for their help. Sometimes even the helpers need a helping hand!”
