‘Dead body’ in Tasmanian bush turns out to be sex doll

A ‘dead body’ that triggered a police response in Tasmania’s northwest over the weekend turned out to be a discarded sex doll.

The Advocate reported that the doll, which was discovered in a bag at Flowery Flat near Smithton, was believed to have been discarded by its owner and discovered by innocent passersby.

“As is our usual process, police take all reports seriously until proven otherwise,” a police spokesperson said.

“The bag was determined not to be suspicious.”
