Tasmania Devils captain Robbie Fox will return for Saturday’s VFL match against Gold Coast at North Hobart Oval, one of three inclusions for the team.
Max Roney also comes back after about two months out with a quad tendon injury.
Fox will start on a half-back flank or wing rather than in the midfield, with coach Jeromey Webberley wanting to build his continuity after an interrupted season.
Webberley said Fox was happy to play anywhere.

“I think it’s a really good problem to have,” he said.
The coach said the Suns loom as a serious threat, with AFL-listed players returning for the match.

“Every week is challenging. It doesn’t matter, ladder positions, current form,” he said.
Tasmania lost by five points last week. Webberley pushed back on suggestions his side started slowly, pointing to 17 inside 50s to 10 and about 30 tackles in the opening quarter.
Also lining up is recruit Aiden Begg, who moved south from Ringwood after the club approached him about a month ago.
Begg said a knee injury in early 2024 had derailed him, but he was now fully fit.

“Body’s 100%. I’m enjoying footy again, which is the main thing for me,” he said.
He is forming a ruck partnership with Cam Owen, who he said he clicked with most at the club.
Webberley said the pair complemented each other, with Owen the taller tap ruckman and Begg more aggressive at ground level.
Gates open at 9:30am on Saturday, with the first bounce at 10:35am.
