They also allege they found an imitation Glock firearm and a “large quantity” of 12-gauge shotgun ammunition.

The targeted search was carried out by Bridgewater CIB, with support from uniformed officers at Bridgewater station.

A 30-year-old man was charged with a series of offences.

They include trafficking in a controlled substance, possessing a controlled drug and possessing a firearm and ammunition without the appropriate licence.

He was bailed and is due to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court on October 30.

In a separate search at a Bridgewater home, police allegedly found cannabis, methylamphetamine, a loaded .22-calibre firearm and ammunition.
