A lint filter in a clothes dryer is believed to have sparked a house fire on Nash Street in Sorell today, causing an estimated $80,000 in damage.
Residents believed the blaze had gone out before fire crews arrived, but it had not been fully extinguished.

Fire crews contained the fire to the laundry area.
