Police have seized eight firearms, including two illegally manufactured pistols and a PCP air rifle, during a raid on a property in Tasmania’s north-west.
The operation, carried out by the Western Drug and Firearms Unit on Wednesday, also uncovered various firearm components and related equipment.
The 46-year-old man allegedly responsible for the weapons is facing multiple firearms-related charges, including trafficking, illegal dealing and possession of unregistered firearms.
He will also face charges for possessing a shortened firearm, insecure ammunition and failing to comply with the safe storage of firearms.
