Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) crews responded to a fire call-out overnight, arriving to find a house completely destroyed in Elizabeth Town in the state’s north.
Crews from Elizabeth Town, Deloraine, Westbury and Sassafras attended the blaze on Christmas Hills Road just after around 11pm on Wednesday.

The house was completely destroyed upon arrival, with surrounding vegetation also catching fire.
The TFS said investigations into the fire will begin this morning.
The cause of the blaze remains unknown.
