Firmus branding will feature on the front of Hobart Hurricanes and Tasmanian Tigers playing shirts after Cricket Tasmania confirmed a five-year deal with the Tasmanian-founded tech company.
The partnership, first revealed by Pulse on Monday night at the Tigers season launch, will see Firmus become principal partner of the Tasmanian Tigers and major partner of the Hobart Hurricanes.
The brand will appear on the front of shirts across all Tigers programs and on the chest of Hurricanes shirts in both the WBBL and BBL.
More than $1 million will be invested directly into community cricket initiatives over the life of the deal, making it one of the biggest community cricket funding commitments in Cricket Tasmania’s history.

Cricket Tasmania CEO Dominic Baker said the partnership would have a wide-ranging impact across the sport in Tasmania.
“This is an incredibly significant partnership for Cricket Tasmania, not only because of Firmus’ commitment to our high-performance programs, but because of the unprecedented investment they are making in community cricket across our state,” Baker said.

A centrepiece of the deal is the Firmus Beyond Boundaries Program, which will fund grassroots cricket in communities facing barriers to participation through equipment, local programs and engagement initiatives.
The partnership will also expand Cricket Tasmania’s Community Club Development Grants program.
Firmus co-founder and co-CEO Oliver Curtis said the company wanted to give back to the communities that supported its growth.
“Through Beyond Boundaries and the community club grants, we’ll support grassroots cricket with equipment, local programs and projects that make it easier for people to take part,” Curtis said.

“This partnership is about backing clubs and the people who keep them going, so more Tasmanians can enjoy the game.”
The deal adds to a growing list of Tasmanian sporting sponsorships for Firmus, which last week signed partnerships with the Tasmania JackJumpers, Tasmania Jewels and Tasmania Devils.
The rapid run of sponsorships has drawn criticism, with some questioning whether the deals are aimed at improving the company’s public image while its major data centre projects in northern Tasmania remain under development.
The cricket partnership will begin ahead of the 2026-27 season.
