Former West Coast player Jack Williams has signed with the Tasmania Devils for the 2027 VFL season, becoming the second former AFL-listed player to join the club this week.
The 22-year-old joins after five seasons with the Eagles, where he played 54 games and kicked 46 goals.
Williams was drafted from East Fremantle with pick 57 in 2021.
The club said he was determined to build on his AFL experience and continue pursuing an AFL career.
Williams was delisted by the Eagles earlier this month, with AFL.com.au reporting a squeeze for list spots forced him out.

Williams said he wanted to get back on an AFL list, whether with the Devils when they enter the league in 2028 or at another club.
“I’m super keen to get back in the AFL system and that’s Plan A for me, so I’ll just do whatever I can to get another opportunity,” he said.
“I feel like I’ve still got more to offer and I’m starting to come into my prime physically.”
Under the ‘Golden Ticket’ initiative, Tasmania can sign up to four of its own VFL-listed players to its 2028 AFL list.
His signing follows the arrival of former Geelong midfielder George Stevens, who shared this year’s J.J. Liston Trophy as the VFL’s best and fairest player.

Stevens, 21, played four AFL games in three seasons with the Cats.
In 2026 he averaged 30 disposals and kicked 13 goals across 16 home-and-away matches, earning selection in the VFL Team of the Year.
The Devils announced 19-year-old Lachy Hay had also recommitted to the club for 2027.
Hay played all 20 of the Devils’ matches in his debut VFL season, kicking 19 goals, including two in each of the club’s finals against Geelong and Essendon.

Originally from Gisborne, he joined the Devils from country club Riddell, where he won a premiership and the club’s best and fairest award in 2025.
Hay also received the club’s inaugural Honour the Map, Inspire the Future Award, which recognises the player who best embodies what it means to be a Tasmanian Devil off the field.
Jye Menzie and Jed Hagan also re-signed with the club for 2027 this week.
The Devils are building their list for their second VFL season, after debuting in the competition this year.
