Tasmania Police’s Taskforce Scelus has seized three illegal firearms, ammunition, drugs and cash after a series of targeted searches across the north-west coast over two days.
The haul included a working homemade .22 calibre pistol, two other pistol firearms, assorted ammunition, methylamphetamine, liquid G and cannabis.
A large quantity of knives, a used ice pipe and a substantial amount of cash were also recovered.
Four people have been separately charged as a result of the operation.
The first find came on Monday when a driver on Main Road at Ulverstone returned a positive oral fluid test for methylamphetamine.

A search of his vehicle allegedly uncovered the homemade pistol, ammunition, knives, a used ice pipe and methylamphetamine.
The 30-year-old Launceston man was charged with multiple firearms offences, minor drug offences, driving while suspended and unlawfully carrying a dangerous article in a public place.
He has been remanded in custody.
Also on Monday, taskforce members stopped a 40-year-old Ulverstone man riding a bicycle and found cash and methylamphetamine on him.
A follow-up search at a home in Ulverstone allegedly uncovered more methylamphetamine along with liquid G and cannabis.

A 35-year-old Ulverstone woman was arrested following the search.
Both the man and woman were charged with trafficking and other drug offences and will appear in court at a later date.
On Tuesday, a 37-year-old Turners Beach man was pulled over in Devonport and returned a positive oral fluid test for methylamphetamine.
Two pistol firearms, ammunition and cannabis were allegedly found in his vehicle.
The man was subject to an active firearms prohibition order and was charged with multiple firearms offences and minor drug offences.
He too will front court at a later date.
“Tasmania Police will continue to target offenders involved in the possession, use and trafficking of illicit drugs and illegal firearms,” a spokesperson said.
