Popular Hobart sushi brand Sush is facing an uncertain future after the company behind it was placed in administration this week.
Sushiforce Pty Ltd was handed to Worrells Solvency & Forensic Accountants on September 14.
The firm is now weighing up what happens next with the four businesses as it works to pay back money owed to creditors.
Sushiforce runs two Sush takeaway shops in the Hobart CBD, one on Collins Street and one at Wellington Court.
It also owns the Sush Track restaurant on the city’s waterfront and wholesale operation Sushimatic.
No decisions have been made about the future of any of the ventures at this stage.
All four are trading as normal.
Matthew Kucianski has been appointed as administrator.
A first meeting of creditors will be held on September 24 at 3pm, run virtually through Microsoft Teams.
Creditors will be asked to consider whether to appoint a committee of inspection and, if so, who should sit on it.
They can also vote to remove the administrator and appoint someone else in the role.
Creditors who want to take part must submit their proofs of debt and proxies to the administrator by 5pm on September 23.
