He was arrested and charged by Taskforce Saturate officers on Tuesday and is now facing charges for burglary and stealing.

The teenager is scheduled to appear in Hobart Youth Justice Court later today.

A Tasmania Police spokesperson said officers are continuing to detect and prevent anti-social and criminal behaviour, aiming to make public spaces safer for everyone.

“Where appropriate, necessary and authorised by law, we will be charging those who offend and putting them before a Magistrate,” they said.

“Our community deserves to feel safe at home, out in public and in their workplaces.”

Police encourage anyone who witnesses illegal or anti-social behaviour to report it by calling 131 444 or triple zero (000) in emergencies.
