A 14-year-old from Invermay has been charged with various stealing offences following recent burglaries at newsagents in Launceston.
Police allege the teenager, along with another 17-year-old, targeted businesses in Invermay and Kings Meadows on April 8th.

In addition to the newsagent burglaries, the teenager faces charges for vehicle thefts, a stealing incident involving force in Launceston and a reported burglary at an Invermay service station.
Detectives from the Northern Criminal Investigation Division led the investigation, which resulted in the recovery of a “significant quantity” of cigarettes and tobacco products.
The teenager appeared in a closed Youth Court in Launceston on Monday afternoon.
