Last known video of missing 14-year-old Shyanne-Lee Tatnell released

Newly released CCTV footage has shed light on the last known movements of Shyanne-Lee Tatnell, a 14-year-old girl from Burnie, who went missing two months ago.

The video, shared by Tasmania Police, shows Tatnell walking along Henry St in Launceston on the night of her disappearance.

Tatnell is described as being around 160cm tall, slim build with blonde hair and was last seen was wearing a cream coloured hooded jumper with bike shorts.

Detective Acting Inspector Andrew Hanson from Northern CIB said police remain committed to finding Tatnell, who has not been seen or heard from for two months.

“Officers continue to investigate every piece of information received to find Shyanne-Lee,” he said.

“In recent weeks, further searches have been conducted in the North Esk River near the Henry Street Bridge where Shyanne-Lee was last seen – unfortunately no sign of Shyanne-Lee was found.”

As part of their ongoing investigation detectives are following leads related to several vehicles, with a particular focus on a silver car that was in the area around the time Tatnell was last seen.

“If you were the driver of a silver vehicle in the area at the time, or you know who was, please come forward. You may have information that can assist us to locate Shyanne-Lee or determine her movements,” Hanson said.

“I urge anyone with information that may assist police to locate Shyanne-Lee or determine her movements since around 8.30pm on 30 April, to please come forward.”
