Kings Park in Latrobe has been closed and a flood warning issued for Railton as heavy rain hits Tasmania’s north-west.
The State Emergency Service (SES) issued a Flood Advice for Redwater Creek, Railton and surrounding areas on Tuesday, urging people to monitor conditions.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a minor flood warning for Redwater Creek.
The SES said low-lying areas around the creek were likely to be impacted, with flooding in nearby streams and rivers likely from now until Wednesday afternoon.
Earlier on Tuesday, Latrobe Council closed Kings Park as a precaution.

The council said the park was shut “because of the potential for water to cover the walking bridge and sections of the pathway”.
Tasmania Police also reported water on the road in the Tarleton Road area at Spreyton.
Police urged motorists to slow down, turn their headlights on and watch for hazards.
“Never drive through a flooded road,” police said.
The Bureau of Meteorology says the heaviest falls will hit the central north and west, with some areas tipped to get up to 100 millimetres by Saturday.
