In a bid to enhance safety measures and reduce its environmental impact, Launceston Airport has recently completed the installation of state-of-the-art LED technology in its high intensity approach lighting (HIAL) system.

The new lighting system, situated on yellow masts strategically positioned before the runway, is set to revolutionise the way pilots navigate during low visibility weather conditions.
