Two men have been charged following a shooting in Hobart’s northern suburbs last month that left a man with gunshot wounds to his chest and face.
Police executed a raid on Tuesday at a home in Herdsmans Cove, where they arrested a 25-year-old and 31-year-old man in connection with the alleged attack.
During the search of the property, officers seized several loaded firearms, ammunition and a quantity of illicit drugs.
The pair from Herdsmans Cove now face numerous charges related to both drug possession and serious firearm offences.
One of the accused men will appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court today, while the other will appear in May.

The shooting is not thought to have been random, according to police, who pointed to a “feud” between people who knew each other as the likely trigger.
“We’re working on the presumption that it is [a targeted attack], based on the investigation so far,” Inspector Darren Latham said in January.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
