Grammy Award-winning singer Macy Gray is set to return to Australia, with an exclusive Hobart show locked in for Wrest Point this September.
Best known for hit single I Try, Gray has built a more than 20-year career on her distinctive voice and a sound that moves between soul, R&B and pop.
Tickets are now on sale, with strong demand expected for her only Tasmanian performance.
Linda Collis, general manager at Wrest Point, said the booking was a coup for the venue and for Tasmania.
“We are thrilled to welcome an artist of Macy Gray’s calibre to Wrest Point,” Collis said.
“This performance reflects our ongoing commitment to bringing internationally acclaimed talent to Tasmania and delivering exceptional live entertainment experiences.”
She said the September 18 show promises to be an intimate and premium experience.
