The trial of a man accused of murdering 14-year-old Shyanne-Lee Tatnell has been pushed back until 2027, more than three years after the teenager disappeared.
Christopher Mark Jordan, 39, appeared in the Supreme Court in Launceston on Friday via video link from Risdon Prison.
The Scottsdale man has pleaded not guilty to murdering the Burnie teenager.
His trial had been expected to begin in September this year but will now be heard during the court’s April 2027 sittings.
The court was told the Crown had received correspondence indicating the case would be listed for that period.

Associate Justice Michael Daly said he had spoken with Justice Michael Brett, who will preside over the trial.
The matter was adjourned until August 4, with Jordan remanded in custody.
The trial is expected to run for four to five weeks and hear from about 50 witnesses.
The court has previously been told 14 volumes of evidence have been filed.
Shyanne-Lee was reported missing on April 30, 2023, after last being seen walking across the Henry Street bridge in Launceston.
Her remains were found months later at a bush block near Nabowla, north-east of Launceston. Jordan was arrested the following day.
Jordan is due to appear in court again on August 4.
