Man charged after smashing Royal Hobart Hospital doors

A 26-year-old southern Tasmanian man will face court next month after allegedly smashing glass doors at Royal Hobart Hospital’s emergency department overnight.

Police charged the man with destroying property, disorderly conduct and resisting a police officer following the incident on Sunday night.

Officers allege the man damaged the hospital’s glass entrance doors at about 11:15pm before being arrested nearby.

The man was granted bail and is expected to appear before Hobart Magistrates Court in July.
