A man has been charged with wounding after a woman was allegedly stabbed at a home in Hobart’s northern suburbs this morning.
Police allege the 40-year-old wounded the woman, aged in her early 20s, with a knife during a family violence incident at Goodwood on Wednesday.
The woman suffered a wound to her upper leg, which police said was not life-threatening.
Paramedics treated her at the scene before taking her to the Royal Hobart Hospital.
Police said officers were called to the home around 2am and arrested the Glenorchy man nearby a short time later.

He has been charged with wounding, three counts of breaching a police family violence order and two counts of breaching bail conditions.
The man is due to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court later today.
