An ATV rider has been left with serious injuries after colliding with a tree stump while riding a trail in Tasmania’s Highlands this afternoon.
According to Police the injured rider, a man in his 30’s, was forcefully ejected upon impact with the stump at around 12:20pm on Sunday.

The Westpac Rescue helicopter was dispatched to the scene in the Ouse area following a call made by other riders.
The man was flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities are now seeking information from any witnesses who may have observed the ATV in the vicinity of the Ouse area around the time of the crash.
