A family and their pets have escaped an overnight house fire at Midway Point.
Emergency services were called to the home on Third Avenue just before 10pm on Monday.
Everyone inside got out while neighbours called for help.
The Tasmania Fire Service said crews arrived to find the house “fully involved in fire”.
Volunteer brigades from Midway Point, Sorell, Cambridge and Orielton responded, along with police and ambulance crews.

A woman was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. Firefighters rescued the family’s pets.
“The prompt and efficient action by TFS volunteer brigades prevented the house from being completely destroyed and stopped the fire from impacting other nearby residences,” the fire service said.
During the fire, a smoke alert was issued for the Tasman Highway, Third Avenue, Geeves Crescent and surrounding areas.
The fire service said there was no threat to the public but asked people who did not need to be nearby to stay away.
An investigation into the cause of the fire will start this morning.
