Upgrades to the boat ramp and carpark at Eddystone Point in Tasmania’s far north-east have been completed just in time for the June long weekend.
Minister for Parks and Environment Nick Duigan said the improvements will make it easier for locals and visitors to launch their boats.

“Car parking facilities on site have also been upgraded to incorporate significant drainage and traffic flow improvements for both day visitors and boat trailer users.”
The upgraded boat ramp, including a walkway, opened on Thursday.
“The facility upgrades aim to improve safety and enable easier boat access,” Duigan said.
The upgrades are part of a $1 million North East Parks and Reserves project by the state government.
