A cluster of new homes has been unveiled in Launceston as part of a $5 million Youth2Independence package.
The initiative aims to provide secure accommodation for at-risk individuals and help them regain their independence.
Under the program, 20 new one-bedroom units will be distributed across the state, with the initial unveiling taking place in Launceston and Devonport on Tuesday.
These five-unit centers, managed by CatholicCare, mark the first phase of the project.

Starting from July 1, tenants will gradually begin moving into the newly established facilities in Launceston and Devonport.
The remaining two five-unit clusters, located in Burnie and Clarence, are expected to be completed shortly after.
Each of these centers will be operated by CatholicCare, with an additional sixth unit occupied by live-in support staff – ensuring tenants have access to on-site assistance whenever needed.
