A person has died in a house fire in Devonport this morning, as authorities work to investigate the cause of the blaze.
Emergency services rushed to Gunn Street around 5am after reports of a residence on fire.

Tasmania Fire Service crews extinguished the flames and found a person dead inside the unit.
The victim is believed to be the property’s resident.
Police will investigate the cause of the fire today.
A formal identification process will be conducted and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
“Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and loved ones of the person involved,” Tasmania Police said in a statement.
