Tasmania Police have issued an appeal for information about a missing young man from the St Helens area on the state’s east coast.
Tasman Watts, 19, left his home at Akaroa, near St Helens, at around 5:30pm on Monday. He was last seen at Scamander around 6:55pm.
Both police and family members have expressed serious concerns for his welfare.
Watts was last seen wearing blue jeans and an olive green hooded jumper with a dark coloured top underneath.
He may be travelling in a blue 2005 Toyota Kluger displaying green P-plates with registration number F30NC.

His family said they had been searching throughout the night and appealed for public help to check dirt roads, campgrounds and surrounding areas in and around St Helens.
Family members said his phone was either switched off or the battery had died, which they described as highly unusual behaviour for him.
“We are all extremely worried about his wellbeing and have been searching throughout the night,” they said.
