Tasmania Police are searching for the driver of a car they say was driven dangerously through several Hobart suburbs,
The silver Honda Accord with no number plates reportedly travelled through Kingston, the Hobart CBD, Fern Tree and the northern suburbs around 2:45pm on Tuesday.
Locals took to social media to report sightings of the car, with one person saying it ran a red light on Macquarie Street and continued to drive erratically down the busy road.
Another reported seeing four young girls emerge from the vehicle in Kingston and steal items from a nearby store.
A police spokesperson said officers are keen to speak with anyone who may have information about the driver or have dashcam or other footage of the car.
“If you have any information about who was driving … please contact Kingston Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers,” the spokesperson said.
