Power outage hits more than 1,100 properties in northern Launceston

A power outage is affecting more than 1,100 properties across parts of northern Launceston this morning.

The outage has hit Invermay, Launceston and Mowbray, with 1,163 properties currently without power.

The cause of the outage is under investigation.

An estimated restoration time has not yet been confirmed, with an update expected around 10am.
