The MyState Foundation is celebrating 25 years of supporting young Tasmanians by letting the public decide where its next big investment goes.
The foundation has launched a one-off $25,000 Community Choice Award, inviting Tasmanians to nominate and vote for a youth-focused not-for-profit they believe is making a real difference.
Nominations are now open and will run for two weeks until Thursday, June 11.
A shortlist will then be announced and opened for public voting from Monday, June 22 to Monday, June 29.

The award sits alongside the foundation’s annual grant round, which has put almost $3 million into Tasmanian community organisations over the past 25 years.
MyState chief executive Brett Morgan said the award reflects the foundation’s long-standing commitment to investing in Tasmanian communities.

“For 25 years, the MyState Foundation has been our primary way of giving back to the communities we operate in by investing in better outcomes for young Tasmanians,” Morgan said.
“This Community Choice Award puts the spotlight on the incredible grassroots youth organisations doing vital work every day and gives Tasmanians a direct say in where this milestone investment goes.”
“We want as many people as possible to get involved, to nominate, to vote and to champion the organisations they believe are shaping a brighter future for young people.”
MyState Foundation chair Bob Gordon said the award recognises both the foundation’s history and the broader impact of community-led support for young Tasmanians.

“Since 2001, the MyState Foundation has partnered with community organisations to help young Tasmanians build confidence, skills and provide opportunities,” Gordon said.
“Over that time, we have distributed $3 million in grants to more than 150 Tasmanian organisations, supporting hundreds of initiatives right across the state.”
“The Community Choice Award is a fitting way to mark 25 years – by celebrating our history while backing the next generation of organisations that will create lasting impact for our young Tasmanians well into the future.”
The foundation was established in 2001 and focuses on improving opportunities for Tasmanian youth through education, wellbeing, social connection and independence.
Nominations are now open on the MyState Bank website..
