A fire on Tolosa Street has knocked power out to more than 2000 homes in Hobart’s Northern Suburbs this afternoon. Some Glenorchy, Lenah Valley and Moonah residents are currently disconnected, with power not expected to be restored until after 6PM.

Brooker Highway blocked after ‘multiple car & truck’ crash

A crash involving ‘multiple cars and a truck’ has closed the southbound lanes of the Brooker Highway this morning. All lanes heading towards the city are blocked at Montrose and ask motorists to expect delays. UPDATE 12:15PM: The highway has since reopened following the earlier crash. Police say serious injuries were reported.
