Dorothy the Dinosaur and her Wiggly friends are among the acts set to perform at this year’s Royal Hobart Show, with cheaper earlybird tickets now on sale.
Dorothy, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus and Captain Feathersword will perform three times a day across the three-day show at the Hobart Regatta Grounds from October 22 to 24.
The interactive performances will feature songs including Rock-A-Bye Your Bear, Hot Potato and Do the Propeller.
The Outback Stockman Show will also return, with Victorian stockman Lachie Cossor demonstrating his skills with animals including bulls, horses and goats.
Other entertainment for the event is still being finalised.
Royal Agricultural Society of Tasmania general manager of operations Mitch Spong said an entry ticket would provide access to the entertainment at the showground.
“The Royal Hobart Show is uniquely cost effective for families. Unlike many events, an entry ticket to the show is all that’s needed to enjoy all the entertainment on offer inside the showground,” he said.
“It’s a terrific offer for families on a budget and patrons are always welcome to bring their own packed lunch, if they want to save precious dollars, although there are plenty of food options available at the show.”
Adult tickets will cost $15 earlybird, compared with $20 online or $25 at the gate.
Children’s tickets are $8 earlybird, $12 online or $15 at the gate.
A family pass for two adults and two children costs $39 earlybird, $50 online or $60 at the gate.
Children under five can attend for free.
Earlybird tickets will be available until October 12 on the show’s website.
