A search for a missing 68-year-old woman on Flinders Island has entered its fifth day.
Victoria Jean Paine, a White Beach resident, has not been seen or heard from since Wednesday afternoon last week, prompting a large-scale search operation across the island.
Police from Flinders Island and Launceston have been working alongside State Emergency Service volunteers over the weekend to locate the missing woman.
The operation has utilised various resources including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter for aerial observations.
Search efforts are now shifting to targeted ground operations and a sea search involving police divers deployed from the police vessel Cape Wickham.
Anyone with information or who may have been contacted by Paine after 2pm on Wednesday is urged to contact police.
