Updated, 1pm Monday: Police have confirmed the discovery of a deceased male on King Island, believed to be 16-year-old Lusian West who disappeared late on Friday night.
The body was located on a property by Tasmania Police divers this morning, bringing a tragic end to the extensive three-day search.
Lusian was last seen near Haines Road and Martha Lavinia Beach Road shortly before midnight on Friday, when he walked away from a parked vehicle while with friends.
A police spokesperson said that while the matter remains under investigation, there are currently no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
“A report will be prepared for the coroner,” the spokesperson said.

Earlier: Police and emergency crews are scouring dense bushland on King Island for a 16-year-old boy who vanished late Friday night.
Lusian West was last seen near Haines Road and Martha Lavinia Beach Road shortly before midnight.
He had been with others when he walked away from a parked vehicle and hasn’t been seen since.
Tasmania Police said there were concerns for the teenager’s welfare given the area.
Local police and community members searched throughout Saturday before reinforcements arrived on Sunday.
Tasmania Police Search and Rescue officers from Western Division have now joined the effort, along with State Emergency Service volunteers from King Island.
A helicopter was on Sunday also being used to conduct aerial searches across the island’s north.
Lusian is described as about 180cm tall with a slim build, black hair and a thin moustache.
He was believed to be wearing navy blue shorts, a navy and black puffer jacket and tan Blundstone boots.
Police are urging anyone with information about Lusian’s movements to come forward.
