A person has been arrested and others are reportedly on the run after a brawl on a busy Hobart highway this afternoon.
Police were called to the incident on the Brooker Highway in Lutana around 2:20pm on Sunday, after a man was allegedly assaulted by a group of people.
Footage shared with Pulse shows a shirtless man running out onto the highway as two others chase him.
He falls to the ground in the middle of the road while the other two men can be seen standing over him, as passing cars attempt to avoid the situation.
A Tasmania Police spokesperson said the man did not receive any serious injuries.
“The people involved are believed to be known to each other,” they said.
“At this stage one person is in custody and inquiries are ongoing to locate others involved.”
“A vehicle linked to the incident has been located, and investigations are continuing.”
