Police are investigating a suspicious house fire that saw a Wynyard property go up in flames on Christmas Day.
Emergency services were called to the blaze on Quiggin Street around 9pm on Monday where they found the house fully engulfed.
“There were no occupants in the residence at the time of the fire and no one was injured in the incident,” a police spokesperson said.
Initial investigations by the Tasmania Fire Service indicate that the fire was deliberately lit.
Investigators are pursuing a specific line of inquiry and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
