Three Tasmania Devils players have been named in the 48-man squad vying for spots in the 2026 Smithy’s VFL Team of the Year.
Hugh Dixon, Jed Hagan and Jye Menzie all earned selection after strong home and away seasons for the Devils.
Dixon played all 18 matches this season and kicked 32 goals, averaging 14.8 disposals and 2.6 contested marks per game.
Hagan also featured in every round, booting 37 goals at an average of 2.1 per match alongside 13.7 disposals.

Menzie played 17 games and kicked 29 goals, averaging 20.1 disposals and 13.4 kicks per game.
Players needed to have played a minimum of 11 home and away matches to be eligible.

The squad of 48 will be trimmed to a final team of 24 at the 2026 VFL and VFLW Awards on Monday, September 14.
A captain and coach will also be named on the night.
The awards ceremony will be streamed live and free on AFL.com.au and the AFL Live Official App from 7pm.
Coburg and Frankston led the way with six nominees each.

North Melbourne, Sandringham and St Kilda did not have a representative named.
