Residents at a Launceston aged care home have taken on staff in a wet water fight, all for a bit of fun.
The Uniting AgeWell Newnham residents reportedly launched more than 1,300 water balloons at carers, nurses and staff in the gardens to kick off the year.

A trophy was on offer for the resident who managed to hit the most targets, with the facility calling the event a ‘massive success’.
They have coined it the ‘Great Water Balloon Challenge’ and say it will be back in 2025.
