A Tasmanian man has gone viral after he travelled 58 hours to London to watch a cricket test at Lord’s – without buying a ticket first.
The man, only known as Matt, has racked up over 1.5M views after he pleaded for help from the ‘Barmy Army’ of English cricket supporters.
Desperate to find a way into the stadium, Matt was captured on video holding a sign outside the gates of the highly anticipated second test match between Australia and England.
“I’ve come all the way from Tasmania, down the bottom of Australia via China, Cyprus to London to get here for the game”, Matt said in a video shared on Twitter.
“Got here last night, hopefully I can get a ticket today,” he said.
Although it is not known how, Matt eventually got his hands on a ticket to the sold-out match.
