“My wife went shopping yesterday and I didn’t want to shop so I took myself to the local hotel.”

“While I was there, I watched the replay of the Carlton victory and put on a game of Keno.”

The Tasmanian man said his first priority was to treat his family to a holiday

He said he’d played 25 games and was convinced his luck was out.

“By the time it got to the 20th game, I still hadn’t seen a single number come up,” he said.

“I was thinking, ‘This is going terribly!’.”

“Then I saw all the eight numbers come up and I almost had a bloody heart attack.”

With $133,000 heading into his bank account, the man said his first priority was his family.

“I think we’ll treat our family to a holiday but for now, we’ll take it as it comes,” he said.

He and his wife marked the occasion with a night out.

“My wife and I then went out for a celebratory dinner and had a few drinks to celebrate,” he said.

“It was lovely.”
