Dorset Council was this week forced to close the female toilet at Scottsdale’s Childrens Reserve after vandals covered the facility in spray paint for the third night running.
The damage included blue and black graffiti sprayed across walls, doors, the toilet and hand basin area, along with paint-smeared handprints left throughout the bathroom.
Photos posted by the council show crude figures, tags and slogans scrawled in blue and black spray paint across almost every surface inside the cubicle.
The toilet seat and bowl were also covered in black paint.

“Due to senseless graffiti, the female toilet at the Childrens Reserve public toilet is closed,” the council wrote online.
“Repairs are still being assessed and costed.”

The male toilet remains open and has been temporarily converted to a unisex facility so it’s still available for public use.
The council said CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed and handed to Tasmania Police for investigation.
“This is the third night in a row that toilet facilities in the municipality have been vandalised,” the council said.
It urged anyone with information to report it directly to police.

The council didn’t say when the female toilet would reopen, noting the facilities “will remain closed until further notice”.
