A three-vehicle crash at the entrance to the Royal Hobart Hospital’s emergency department is causing traffic disruptions, with police warning motorists to avoid the area.
Emergency services are at the scene at the intersection of Campbell and Liverpool streets, after the crash occurred shortly before 9:30pm on Friday.
No serious injuries have been reported.
Police said it would take “considerable time” for the scene to be cleared.

Motorists have been asked to avoid the area if possible, use caution on approach or delay their travel and take an alternative route.
Two cars were visible at the intersection outside the hospital’s emergency department entrance in Pulse pictures from the scene, with police officers directing traffic.

It is understood ambulance entry into the hospital is not being affected.
