Two young people have been charged after allegedly robbing a Howrah bottle shop at knifepoint last night.
Police say the youths entered the store on Hobart’s eastern shore around 7:40pm on Wednesday and stole alcohol.
One was allegedly carrying a knife during the incident.
“During the incident the youths allegedly assaulted the staff member and one of them threatened the worker while in possession of a knife,” police said.
“The staff member was not seriously injured in the incident.”

Three young people were arrested overnight, one of whom has since been released without charge.
The other two, both aged 15, are now facing a charge of common assault.
One of the 15-year-olds is also facing charges of stealing with force and unlawful possession of property.
