Two people have been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a house at Longford, in Tasmania’s north, tearing open the front of the home.
Emergency services were called to Malcombe Street around 2:40pm on Tuesday after reports a white Honda had hit the house.
The car appears to have crashed into a bedroom, leaving furniture and bedding among the debris.
The two people who were in the car were taken to the Launceston General Hospital for treatment.
Police said their injuries were not serious.
The house was significantly damaged, with timber framing, wall panels and furniture left strewn across the front porch.
The scene was cordoned off with emergency services tape.
No one inside the home was physically injured, police said.
Police are investigating the crash and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
