A 38-year-old Ulverstone man has been charged after another man was seriously wounded early on Saturday morning.
The victim is in hospital in a serious but stable condition, police said.

The alleged assault happened in Ulverstone, in the states north-west, on Saturday.
Police said the man was arrested and charged following the wounding incident.
Detectives are continuing to investigate and believe the incident was isolated.
“This was an isolated incident with no identified risk to members of the public,” police said.
