Woman, 26, in hospital after being struck by teen driver in Latrobe

A 26-year-old woman is in hospital with serious injuries after a car driven by a 17-year-old girl hit her in Latrobe last night.

Emergency services were called to Forth Street, between Bradshaw Street and Moriarty Road, shortly after 8pm on Wednesday after reports a pedestrian had been struck.

The woman was taken to hospital, where she remains. Police said her injuries were serious but not life-threatening.

The teenage driver was not physically injured and is helping police with their enquiries.

Investigations into the crash are continuing.
